Obituary of Donald Baxter Saunders

It is with sadness that the family of Donald Baxter Saunders announces his passing at home on Friday, May 10, 2024 at the age of 94. Born in Davis Inlet, Labrador, on December 13, 1929, he was the husband of the late Una (Davis) Saunders.

Don leaves behind his son, Ed Saunders (Vernice); grandchildren, Edward and Donald Saunders, Una Williams, Edward and Batten Broomfield; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; many extended family members and good friends. Don was predeceased by his parents, Gilbert and Elizabeth (Broomfield) Saunders; his children, Donald and Margaret, and by his grandson, Andy.

Don was a hard worker who loved to hunt and fish in his spare time. He will be deeply missed by his family.

A visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. For those who wish, donations made in Don’s memory to any cancer research charity would be appreciated.
