Sending condolences to the Saunders family on the loss of such and amazing, kind and happy man. This photo is one of the last I have of Don on his last trip to Mos-kee-toe Island in central Labrador. I had the pleasure of fishing with Don from the crack of dawn until Sunset that day, we fished with Fern and I had the most fun just watching the excitement on dons face when either of us would hook a fish, and of course the laughter from him when Fernand or I would catch a bigger one then him. We met up with some young guys on the island and listening to Don tell stories of fishing and hunting all over Labrador in his early days. I will forever be grateful for meeting and having the pleasure of listening to his stories. Don was an inspiration to all he met and will be a great loss to everyone.
Thinking of you all
Love and kind wishes

“ Uncle Don”, we were not family by blood but we sure loved you like family. Thank you for the many stories, the laughs and those special memories made. We will not forget you, our deepest sympathies to all who knew him and loved him.
