I'm the eldest of 3 borned in Welland in the Niagara Falls region. Shortly after, my family moved back to Saint-Sauveur half way between Bathurst and Tracadie north-east NB. It is then you and I met. You were already living in the Greater Fredericton area with your siblings. We didn't see you often, but you sure made an impact of goodness, wonderment and wanting to discover. I believe each one of us is a prolongation of the past and a preparation of the future for our next of kins. Your nature, your discipline about righteousness and beliefs, good always comes from good, has occupied my mind either as a corrective measure or as an avenue of proper choices. In that matter, you have served many of us as a diving board to catapult us way further... feeling your presence, was all we needed to walk confidently into the unknown.
It was nice knowing you... Keep up the good work. ;)

Such a huge hole in so many hearts, Bernie was loved by so many, he certainly left a lot of memories to be cherished by his family, his friends, co-workers, employees and clients. Last time we seen Bernie at the greenhouses, he wasn’t feeling great but, he was in good spirits and making jokes. Even when he was feeling terrible he still wanted to know how everyone else was and offering to help in any way he could. Bernie was the kind of person that was always happy to see you and greeted you with a smile, he loved his family, he had the best work ethic, he was a trusted carpenter who always took pride in his work. He will be missed by all of us at Scott’s he was a huge help to us so many times and he became part of our work family, these are just a few of the many pictures we have of some great times spent with George and Jeanette. We are sending Patsy and all the family our deepest, heartfelt condolences.

Another beautiful soul spread their wings. I had the pleasure of meeting Bernie through Shawn Bourgoin. Shawn had so many amazing stories about Bernie. Shawn was like another son to Bernie. I met him and felt like I was apart of a big family. He was so kind. He built birdhouses with my girls and was so very patient with them. We visited for a few celebrations, such as Joe and Bonnie's wedding, Canada Day celebrations and always had a great time with Bernie and his family. Joe Mclaughlin, You are all in your thoughts. You carry some of his kind traits. Bernie seemed to have a lasting impact on so many people. It was an honour to have met him.

I remember when I first met Uncle Bernie. Myself and Keshia came down from AB 6-7 yrs ago for the family reunion. It was so overwhelming meeting everyone as it’s such a huge family but everyone made me feel so welcome, especially uncle Bernie and aunt patsy! I remember playing horseshoe in the back yard with Bernie and dancing later on in the night with patsy. When we moved back to NB 2 years ago we went over and visited outside and chatted. I always loved hanging out. He always made me feel like part of the family and always soo welcoming. It meant the world to me. We will miss you uncle Bernie !
