Obituary of Susan Margaret Dean

Heaven received another Angel on April 20^th, 2023. Susan Margaret Dean (71) was given her wings and called to service, peacefully surrounded by loved ones and with the support of the amazing staff at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton NB.

Susan was a devoted Christian and had a special relationship with her Heavenly Father. She was born in Saint John, NB, on August 4^th, 1951. A wild teenager at heart, Susan was an awesome mother, wonderful grandmother, loving auntie, compassionate daughter and sister, loyal friend and so much more to so many.

Among many loved ones welcoming Susan into Heaven are her mother Sophie Margaret Dean (Hendricksen), her father Harry Raymond Dean, her sister Carol Ruby Dean and her nephew Colin Dean.

Susan’s love will continue to shine bright through her 3 sons, Brian Strachan (Chrissy), Stevie Strachan, and Chris Mclellan, her grandchildren, including Lars Strachan and Seamus Hickey, her two brothers Jack Dean (Diane) and Raymond Jr. “Skip” Dean (Sheila), her nieces and nephews, Deana Donovan, Derek Hickey (Kelly), and a number of other loving relatives and friends.

Music was a huge part of her life. She loved to sing and dance and was an avid concert goer and pioneer pub ring leader. Susan loved sports like softball, golf, bowling, curling and she even jumped on the ice for a few hockey games with her boys. Always the life of the party, Susan loved to get together with family and friends for a night of cards or board games.

The Celebration of Life will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday April 29^th, 2023, at 11:00 am. For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to the IWK Foundation, Hip Hip Hooray (Canadian Orthopedic Foundation) or to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
