The first picture was taken at a family gathering, he had so much fun that day. He always enjoyed when I took him to my family’s gatherings. The second photo is of him and my son (his great grandson) Geordan. He was like a grandfather to me and a friend. He brought so much joy into my live. Shopping and coffee outings will never be the same without him. Driving in Oromocto is never the same. I keep forgetting I can’t call you to let you know I’m coming in for a visit we’d always talk for hours or watch a movie. I can’t take you out to eat at your favourite restaurant (blue canoe) or shop around at our favourite stores (dollarama, winners) or go for a walk with the baby. I miss getting your messages everyday. I smile every time I think of the jokes you used to make and the sayings we’d come up with. My favourite one was “dump the bum” lol, our inside joke. I know that I’ll see you again in Heaven some day, until we meet again Sherman. I love and miss you dearly.

To Sherman's Family, I am so sorry to read about the passing of Sherman. I had the pleasure of knowing Sherman over the past years as I work for Oromocto Plumbing & Heating. We do Plumbing repairs for O.F.N. and I had been to their house on occasion
and Sherman always seemed to be a happy-go-lucky Guy, always smiling, did not matter where you were he would always smile and say "Hi" to you, or chit-chat. May you rest in peace Sherman.

Sherman was my little brother whom I loved to spend time with when I came home. He was a loving, tender hearted man who loved his family so deeply. I will miss our phone calls and text messages. Sherman carried a great void in his life after the loss of his loving wife, Mavis. They were so good together. Sherman was the 4th in line of 11 of us in our family. He is survived by myself, Joanna, on the west coast, a brother Clarence and his wife, Martinianna also on the West Coast. Also brothers and sisters back home; Irvin, Jerry (Sylvia),, Millie, Marlena (Richard), and Carlyn (Andre). He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Frankie, Larry & Norris. Go fly high my dearest brother. I will miss you so very much. Now you can be together once again with your lovely Mavis and Terry, also our parents; Clarence & Alfreda (Legere) Lyons and your 3 brothers. The love of a family never dies. I will love you always, till we meet again...... My deepest condolences to all the Sacobie family.

I am so sorry for your loss, Joanna. I’ve known Sherman for a short 3 years but in that time he made quite an impression. I loved playing cards with him and having a cup of tea. He always made me feel welcome in his home and would give the shirt off his back. He just loved his cats.
