Obituary of Janice Ruth Foster

It is with great sadness that the family of Janice Foster announces her sudden and unexpected passing at Hospice House in Fredericton on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the age of 67. Born in Bath, New Brunswick, on April 25, 1955, she was the daughter of Barbara (Hatt) Foster and the late Rev. Robert Foster. In addition to her mother, Barbara, Janice leaves behind her siblings, Winona Foster, Jerry Foster (Wanda) and Stephen Foster (Kim Young); nieces, Erica Foster (Shane Bungay), Breanan Foster-Goodine (Russell), Emma Foster, and Courtney Foster; extended family, Tricia McAleer (Robert), Sally Kennedy and their families. Janice was predeceased by her father, Robert; her grandparents and several aunts and uncles. Janice was an active member of the Geary Pentecostal Church where she was the Music Director and church Secretary. She was also a member of the MGMA. Janice loved and spoiled her four nieces Erica, Breanan, Emma and Courtney. She also loved her two dogs Bella and Samson. Janice’s unwavering faith and dedication as well as her generosity and smile will be greatly missed by all. 2 Timothy 4:7- I have fought good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith. Hence forth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. Visitation will be held at Geary Pentecostal Church on Wednesday, July 13, from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held from the church on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Lloyd Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Preston Carr Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Janice’s memory can be made to Geary Pentecostal Church or Hospice House Fredericton. Due to road closure traffic coming from Fredericton should take the following route: Take Route 2 to exit 306 onto Route 7. Follow Route 7 and use exit 29 (sign for Fredericton Junction/Geary) to get to Broad Road. Pass the Petro-Canada on the right hand side and take a right onto Lauvina Road.
