Obituary of Montgomery Earl Hudson

It is with profound sadness that the family of Montgomery (Monty) Earl Hudson announce his sudden passing on April 7, 2022. Born on October 9, 1961 at the Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary Alberta, Monty was the son of the late Frederick and Margaret (Langevin) Hudson. Monty will be forever missed and loved by his children, son Justin (Brooke Ferguson), and daughters Jené and Randi, as well as his very good friend and mother of his children, Gina DiDiodato. He is also survived by brothers Douglas, Patrick (Shih-Shu), Richard (Pauline), William, sister Katharine MacPherson (David), his best friend Terri Desgroseilliers, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Robert and Lawrence. Monty will be remembered by many for his kind hearted nature and generosity. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Monty worked very hard and was exceptional in his drywall trade and made many friends along the way. He was a member of the carpenters union for 43 years. Monty enjoyed travelling to yard sales, fishing and spending time with his friends and family but most of all he loved the time spent with his kids. He was so very proud of each of them and their accomplishments. His face would light up when he spoke of them, truly his pride and joy. He was passionately involved in their sporting events and enjoyed building a backyard skating rink every winter when they were young. In the later years Monty took a liking to being in the woods on his side by side, as well as enjoying lawn tracker racing with his friends. He will be forever missed by many. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 12th, 2022, from 3:00pm - 6:00pm, at the Oromocto Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 13th, 2022, at 11:00am, with Fr. Charles Udeh officiating. Donations in memory of Monty can be made to the Oromocto SPCA, St. Vincent de Paul Building Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
