Obituary of Brenda Joyce McMonagle

It is with sadness that the family of Brenda Joyce McMonagle announces her passing at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at the age of 76. Born in Peel, ON, she was the wife of the late Emerson McMonagle. Brenda leaves behind her sons, Lenny (Virginia) and Steven McMonagle (Kristi); grandchildren, Sarah McMonagle and her mother Lorrie, Connor Norrad, Emma and Sam McMonagle; brothers, David (Louisa) and Terry Mersereau (Sharon); sisters, Judy Simpson (Francis) and Jackie Mersereau; brother-in-law, Ross Norminton; nephews, Jody and Jay Mersereau, Michael Simpson, Billy and James Bridges; nieces, Gillian Mersereau, Cindy Allain, Amber Venturo; and several special friends. In addition to her husband, Emerson, Brenda was predeceased by her parents, Eber and Marion (Ryan) Mersereau; sister, Carol Norminton; sisters-in-law, Kathy Mersereau and Donna Bridges. Brenda’s family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Oromocto Public Hospital and on 3SW at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Thanks also to the caring staff of Country Lane Estates in Burton. A private Celebration of Life and committal service will be held at a later time. For those who wish, donations in Brenda’s memory may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer Society.
