Obituary of Christina Frances McKay

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Christina Frances "Frankie" McKay on February 4th, 2022 at Orchard View Long Term Care Home in Gagetown NB. Born in Glace Bay, NS, on June 15th, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Gertrude (née Dulhanty) and Neil McNeil and was the loving wife of Johnnie McKay. Her family meant the world to her… She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Marlene (Karl), Michele (Brian), Kevin (Liz); grandchildren, Jeffrey (Christle and son Brayden), Jason (Aleana), Jennifer (Brad), Sarah (Jake) and Andrea; great-grandchildren Leila, Odin and Joshua; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Frankie is predeceased by her siblings, Catherine, Dan, Gerald, Jimmy, Marie and Kevin. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She loved her "Toronto Maple Leafs", "Toronto Blue Jays" and playing "Bingo". The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all the staff of Orchard View Long Term Care Home for their wonderful support, care, compassion and love they have for all their residents. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 12:00pm, with a reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, the IWK, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
