Obituary of Allan Patrick Copeland

It is with sadness that the family of Allan Copeland announces his death at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the age of 76. Born in Chipman, NB, on February 12, 1945, he was the husband of the late Sandra Ruth (Clark) Copeland. Allan leaves behind his son, Ritchie Copeland (Tracy) of Waasis, NB; brothers, Gary (Sharon), Jan (Elaine), and Jody (Rhonda); sister, Arlene (Victor); uncle, Tim Kennedy; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Sandra, Allan was predeceased by his parents, Lewis and Geraldine Copeland; grandparents, Jasper and Beatrice Kennedy; uncle, Gerald Kennedy. Allan was an Engineering Technologist, as well as a bookkeeper and tax preparer, who had his own business for 35 years. During his career he designed hundreds of residential and commercial buildings in and around Fredericton and Oromocto. Allan had many interests and hobbies including landscaping and gardening as well as collecting stamps and coins. He enjoyed watching sports and, prior to the pandemic, enjoyed playing guitar and singing karaoke at the Royal Canadian Legion. Visitation will be held from the Oromocto Funeral Home on Friday, October 29, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held from the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in the Waasis Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in Allan’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
