Obituary of J. Hermel Babin
Hermel Babin, 80, husband of Nancy (Howe) Babin of Fredericton, NB passed away suddenly at his residence on Saturday, April 17, 2021.
Born in Saint-Louis de Kent, NB on October 9, 1940, he was a son of the late Jean-Baptiste Babin and Bertha (Voutour) Babin.
During his working career he was a mechanic in the Air Force, worked for SMT and was a school bus driver with District 18 in Fredericton for many years.
He is survived by his wife Nancy; son Randy (Leona) of Saint-Louis de Kent; two daughters, Christianne and Simone of Germany; two sisters, Violette Cormier (Normand) and Blanche Craig (Vincent); a sister-in-law, Mildred Babin; his mother-in-law Doris Howe; brothers-in-law, Don (Joy), Brian (Carolyn) and Bob (Pamela); sisters-in-law, Bertha (Glen) and Sharon (John); grandchildren, Stephanie Allain (Shawn), Julia and Louisa; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Reginald, George and Bruno Babin also by a sister-in-law, Louise Babin.
Due to covid restrictions there will be no visitation or funeral service. The family have requested that memorial contributions be made to favorite charity of your choice.
