Obituary of Florine Marie Johnston

It is with sadness that the family of Florine (Blackier) Johnston announce her death on April 17th, 2021 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, with her children by her side. Born on December 4th, 1952 in Saint John to the late Peter and Phyllis (McSheffrey) Blackier. Florine was 68. Flo, as she was called by all that knew and loved her, worked for many years at the Queen Street Branch of Service Canada. She also worked many years at Speedway 660 with her beloved son, Chris. Both jobs she loved so much. She is survived by her son, Chris (Jayne) and her daughter Cherie Cormier (Josh); sister, Evelyn Simpson (Joe) and brothers, Peter Blackier (Donna) and John Blackier (Kay); 5 grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kate, Ryan, Connor, Abigail; her aunt, Mary Holland and her uncle Louis Blacquiere. Special thanks to the Nurses in ICU and 4 South West as well as the doctors involved in her care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society.
