Obituary of Lorne Elwood Boulter

We are sad to announce the passing of Lorne Elwood Boulter on April 9, 2021, in Fredericton, New Brunswick, after a long-fought battle with cancer. He was born June 11, 1954, in Pictou, Nova Scotia. Lorne served his country as a signaller in the Canadian Army for 26 years, and then for another 20 years as a public servant at the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering. He spent most of his winters in New Brunswick volunteering his time as a curling official. He was a proud fan of the Boston Bruins and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He was a man with a big heart, full of wit and humour, and had a zest for life like no one else. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Kathleen (McKenna) Boulter; daughter, Shannon Boulter; brother, John Boulter, and sister-in-law, Mary (Cyr) Boulter. He leaves behind further extended family in Prince Edward Island, the place he loved. He is predeceased by his father, Calvin Watson Boulter; mother, Rebie (Gorrill) Boulter, and sister, Emma Lee (Boulter) Stewart. The family wants to thank his family doctor, oncologists, and the oncology department at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital for all of their time and wonderful care, as well as the staff and volunteers at Hospice Fredericton. A celebration of life will be held as soon as restrictions allow. In Lorne's spirit of giving, any memorial contributions can be made to Hospice Fredericton.
