Obituary of Edith Bonnar

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Edith "Edie" (Hardy) Bonnar, wife of Gordon Bonnar. Originally from North Sydney, NS. Edie is survived by her husband Gordon of 44 years; daughter Karen and Kim; sons Anthony and Christopher and their spouses; grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Hilda and Tom Hardy; brothers Wilfred and Harold; sister Audrey; and infant sister named Little Edie. Edie was the first VP of the ladies auxiliary of the Oromocto Legion Branch #93 of which she was very active within. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the oncology and radiation team at the Saint John Regional Hospital, as well as to the doctors and nurses at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital for all the care that Edie received during her stay. In following with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. For those who wish, donations in her memory may be made to the Oromocto Legion Branch #93, or a charity of donors choice.
