Obituary of Kathleen Crain
With sadness, the family of Kathleen Neta (Brown) Crain, announce her passing on Tuesday, October 13th, 2020 at York Manor Care Centre in Fredericton, NB. Born in Waterville, NB, Kay was the daughter of the late William and Clara (Harper) Brown and the beloved wife of the late Philbrick "Phil" J. Crain.
Kay was a loving wife, mother and grandmother with many talents. Kay made many beautiful cakes over the years for family, friends, weddings and special occasions. She was a beautiful seamstress and sewed lots of clothes during her lifetime. She also supply taught on occasion in Geary for a number of years. Kay loved gardening, the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Kay’s zest for life and her very capable attitude made her a lovely lady to be around and she will be missed.
She will be forever in the hearts of her sons: Lance (Krista), Danny (Pamela) and Greg (Maureen); brother Philip (Marjorie) Brown; sisters: Dereta Morehouse and Sharon (Parker) Tanner; grandchildren: Caleb, Cody, Brett, Karinn and Mariah; step grandchildren: Scott and Ryan; step great grandchildren: Meadow, Owen and Preslee and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents and husband, Phil, she was predeceased by her brothers: Gerald and Garnet and her sisters: Eleanor and Yvonne
Respecting Kay’s wishes a private family interment will take place in the Burton Cemetery at a later date. Should friends desire, memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be given to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer’s Society of NB.
