Obituary of Philbrick James Crain
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Philbrick "Phil" James Crain on August 20, 2020. Born on February 13, 1936, in Clearview, NB, he was the son of the late Edward and Edna (Freeman) Crain.
Growing up, Phil learned to hunt and fish, which he loved to do in his spare time. Phil spent 37 years teaching in the Geary and Oromocto areas. He taught at Geary High School and Harold Peterson Middle School during his time as a teacher. He married the love of his life, Kathaleen "Kay", and raised a family of 3 boys. During the last 13 years Kay had developed Alzheimers, and Phil had spent those 13 years caring and looking after Kay without hesitation. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Phil will be missed by his wife Kay (Brown) Crain; sons Lance (Krista), Danny (Pamela) and Greg (Maureen); grandchildren Caleb, Cody, Brett, Karinn and Mariah; step grandchildren Scott and Ryan; step great grandchildren Meadow, Owen and Preslee, as well as several nieces nephews and extended family members.
By Phil’s request, there will be no visitation or service. Interment will be held at the Burton Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
