Obituary of Kenneth Robert Trecartin
It is with sadness that the family of Kenneth "Tincan" Trecartin announces his death at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at the age of 80. Born in Saint John, NB, on May 24, 1939, he was the husband of Betty Trecartin of Upper Gagetown, NB.
In addition to his wife, Betty, Ken leaves behind his sons, Robert (Kelly Ann) and Raymond (Laura) of Ontario; daughters, Kathy (Rene), Sandra, Judy, and Sheila (Jeffrey), all of Ontario; his grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Marion (Jim) and Jane (Gordon); many nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his parents, George and Pearl (Nichols) Trecartin; brothers, Colby, Raymond, and George.
Ken proudly worked for over 30 years as a bookkeeper for the Ontario newspaper the North Bay Nugget. When he was able he was also an active member of the Lions Club in Jemseg.
There will be no visitation. An informal Celebration of Ken's Life will be held from the Jemseg Lions Club on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Interment will take place in Gagetown at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ken's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or NB Heart and Stroke Foundation.
