Obituary of Marie Gesnia Schuttenbeld

It is with saddened hearts that the family announces the passing of Marie Gesnia Schuttenbeld on December 20, 2019 at the York Care Centre. Born on June 29, 1929 in Holland, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Anna (Steenhof) Hagedoorn. Marie will be missed by her son Chris (Kristine) of Beaverdam; grandson William (Heather) of Beaverdam; great granddaughter Emma; sisters Truus, Annie, Santje; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by her husband John and her brothers Anton, Gerald, Hein and Jan. A visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s society would be appreciated.
