Obituary of Hazel Audrey Meloney

It is with sadness that the family of Hazel Meloney announce her death at Pine Grove Nursing Home on November 28th, 2019, at the age of 82. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick on January 5th, 1937, she was the wife of the late Nelson Meloney. Hazel leaves behind her children, Wendy Parrish, Ken Meloney (Carol) and Debbie Anthony (Blaine); Grandchildren, Chad, Nadia, Meagan, Shania, Rick Jr., Steve, Jamie, and Mark; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Nancy, Ethel Beaulieu, and Gail Gerawh. In addition to her husband, Nelson, Hazel was predeceased by her parents, James and Mary (Dwyer) Gerawh; brother Frank and Jimmy Gerawh; step-daughter, Eleanor Axworthy; Margaret Robinson, William Gerawh, and Betty-Ann Hatfield. Visitation will be held from Oromocto Funeral Home on Saturday, November 30th, 2019 at 6pm – 8pm and Sunday, December 1st, 2019 at 12pm – 2pm. The funeral service will be held from the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, December 1st, 2019 at 2pm with Rev. Bob Jones officiating. For those who wish, donations in Hazel’s memory can be made to the Diabetes Association or Alzheimer Society.
