Obituary of Norma Louise Shirley

Passed peacefully, with her husband by her side, at the age of 55 on November 11th, 2019 at the York Care Center in Fredericton NB. Born in Bathurst, NB on December 20th, 1963, Louise leaves behind her loving husband Peter, and her parents Valmond and Anne Marie Saulnier. Along with her husband and parents, Louise will be greatly missed by her son Matthew Shirley (Sabrina); brother Daniel Saulnier (Claudine Mallet); sister Diane Davis (Brian); niece Ariane Saulnier, nephews Christopher Davis and Patrick Davis; brothers-in-law Ron Shirley (Sandra), Earl Shirley (Laurence Grossin); nephews-in-law Ryan and Alexander; nieces-in-law Erin and Brittany. Louise was the epitome of a military wife, she took care of the home front, raised a magnificent son and was a tough woman who was caring to all. She enjoyed sports but especially loved curling, golf, and tennis. She was always able to add a splash of colour to the world with her personality and she will be greatly missed. A special thanks to Dr. Snell for his care and compassion while Louise was cared for at home as well as to the staff at the York Care Center who cared for Louise over the last three and a half years. There will be no formal visitation. A service of remembrance will be held in the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 16th, 2019 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MS Society.
