Obituary of David Lavender

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of David Lavender on September 5, 2019. Born on February 16th, 1936, he was the son of the late Harry and Christina Lavender. David leaves behind his sisters Maureen and Barbara; daughter Tammy (Chris); sons David Jr and Stephen (Laurie); grandchildren Alicia, Melissa (Rob), Brandon (Kayla) and Joseph; great grandchildren Madison, Jada, Cooper, Maci, Parker, Avery and Mila as well as sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his wife, Rachel and sisters Mildred, Lorna and Brenda. There will be a Canadian Legion tribute service on Monday, September 9, 2019 at 5:45 in the Oromocto Funeral Home, as David was a member of the British and Canadian Armed Forces. A visitation will follow from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the IWK, the Red Cross or the War Amps would be appreciated.
