Obituary of Marcella Geraldine McCarty

It is with great sadness that the family of Marcella Geraldine "Gerry" (Easton) McCarty announce her passing on May 1, 2019, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Fredericton, NB on July 20, 1960, she is the daughter of Chesley Hayward Easton and the late Carol Philomen (Elward) Easton. She will be greatly missed by her husband, of 25 years, Kevin McCarty; sons, Philip McCarty of Rothesay, NB and Malcolm McCarty (Justin Boone) of Oromocto, NB; step children, Gordon McCarty (Dominique D’Aoust) of Ottawa, ON and Elizabeth McCarty (Wayne Smith) of Callander, ON; father, Chesley Easton (Louise) of Moncton, NB; brother, Chesley "Sonny" Easton of Oromocto, NB; brother-in-law, Tim McCarty (Tim Foss) of Barrie, ON; grandchildren, Ashton, Nathan, Natalie, Nolan, Octavia, Maximus and Atticus; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her mother, Gerry is predeceased by her grandparents, Geraldine and Marcel Bissonnette. By Gerry’s request, there will be no visitation. A celebration of her life will be held at the Oromocto Legion Branch #93 on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11am. Donations in Gerry’s memory would be greatly appreciated to the NB Lung Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
