Obituary of Neil Leslie Smith

It is with sadness that the family of Neil Smith, formerly of French Lake, announces his death at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Tuesday, November 20th, 2018, at the age of 89. Born in French Lake, NB, on May 13th, 1929, he was the husband of the late Mary (Mahar) Smith. Neil leaves behind his children, Douglas Westall, Darrell Westall (Angel), Darlene Philliphs (Duane) and Patricia Stevens; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as a large extended family. In addition to his wife, Mary, Neil was predeceased by his parents and siblings. Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Thursday, November 22nd, from 4-7 pm. The funeral will take place from the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 23rd, 2018 at 10 am with Pastor Jack Leaman officiating. Interment will be in the Morrow Cemetery in the spring. For those who wish, donations in Neil's memory can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
