Obituary of Conrad Percy Phinney
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Conrad "Cat" Percy Phinney on September 28, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on February 21, 1938 in Parrsboro, NS, he was the son of the late Donald and Elva (Lamb) Phinney.
Cat was an excellent baseball player and had played baseball in the Fredericton area for many years. Also, he was an avid hockey player and had the opportunity to play hockey in Scotland for a year. One of the hockey teams he played for were the Toronto Marlies. He was a die-hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan, hardly ever missing a Toronto Maples Leaf game on TV. In addition to sports, Cat had a special spot in his heart for animals.
He will be greatly missed by a special friend Brenda Powell; step-daughter Mandy Powell; his beloved Chihuahua Tucker; cousin, but treated and loved like a brother, Stephen Phinney, as well as many extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Cat was predeceased by his sister Sylvia Seggae.
By request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to Conrad Phinney's living memorial fund, in care of Oromocto Funeral Home.
