Obituary of Mary McWaid

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary (Goguen) McWaid announce her passing on August 16, 2018, at George Dumont Hospital. Born on February 28, 1937, in St. Marie de Kent, she was the daughter of the late Fidele and Dina (LeBlanc) Goguen. Mary is survived by her son Norman Arsenault (Maria); brothers Alphée Goguen (Lise), Joseph Richard (Rose Marie) and Albeo Poirier as well as a sister-in-law Clara Arsenault. In addition to her parents, Mary is predeceased by her first husband Emile Arsenault as well as her second husband Howard McWaid. Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 11 am with Fr. Gerry White officiating. Interment at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery will follow the Mass. Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
