Obituary of Duane Porter

It is with great sadness that the family of Duane Porter, of Lincoln, announces his passing on July 21, 2018 at Hospice House in Fredericton. Born on April 15, 1954, in Bath, NB, Duane is survived by his daughter, Kristina Sinclair (Ryan) of Ottawa Ontario, and their children, Aubrey and Lincoln; step-daughter, Amanda; brothers, Roly (Donna) of Oromocto, NB, along with their children Lennie, Alicia and Shane (Lacey), and Reg Porter (Pat) of Moncton, NB, and their children Scott (Megan) and Jeff (Karen); Auntie Claudia (Allison), who was like a second mother to him; close friends Doug Hughes and Wayne Buchanan, who always made sure to take him out for coffee and always check in on him; as well as several extended family members. Duane was predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Norma Porter; and his niece, Jennifer. Duane will be remembered for his fondness of golf at the Gagetown Golf Course, as well as his deep love and pride for his grand children. In accordance with Duane’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Donations can be made in Duane’s memory to the Fredericton or Oromocto SPCA.
