Obituary of Delbert Tibbits

It is with great sadness that the family of Delbert Tibbits announce his passing at Pine Grove Nursing Home, on June 8, 2018. Born August 6, 1945 in Ripples, NB, he was the son of the late Edward and Ruth (Drost) Tibbits. He was also predeceased by his son John, and brothers Dwaine and Norman. Survived by his loving wife Marian; sons Matthew, Andrew (Lindsay); daughter Ruth (Leigh); grandchildren Lexus, Jameson, Bennett, Everett, Isabelle; sisters Erma, Lorna, Sylvia; brothers Garland, Dennis, Dale, Gary; and his Pine Grove family. Delbert loved nature and the woods and spent most of his life working there. He also loved people and devoted much of his time helping his community through his local church. Delbert had a passion for gardening, farming and an even bigger passion for family. Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Monday, June 11 from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm. A memorial service will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, June 12 at 2pm with Pastor Greg Pyne officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Waasis Cemetery. Donations in Delbert’s memory may be made to Pine Grove Foundation.
