Obituary of George Robert Moore

It is with profound sadness that the family of George Robert "Bob" Moore, beloved husband of Linda (Lee), announces his passing on April 4, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born and raised in Gagetown, NB, he was the youngest son of the late J. Arthur and Maude (Mayes) Moore. Bob began his career as a member of the Oromocto fire department and followed by a life of farming in Gagetown. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, woodworking and spending time at his camp with friends and family. He is survived by the love of his life, Linda (Lee) and his beloved children Cynthia (Robert), Richard (Lisa), Wendy (Richard), Cheryl and Andrea (Donald). He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren John (Alyssia), Andrew (Tiffany), Michael (Pamela), Tim (Paige), Stephen (Brittany), Robyn (Robert), Jacob, Benjamin and Taylor; beloved great grandchildren Rowan and Lennan, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents J Arthur Moore and Maude (Mayes), Bob was predeceased by his brothers Donald, Claude, Lloyd and Douglas. Visitation will take place at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 4-8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jane Johnson officiating. Interment will take place in the Gagetown United Cemetery at a later date. Donations in Bob’s memory can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
