Wow !! Just hearing of this now. Haven't seen Jack in awhile, but he & Helma were great neighbours for 15 years. A man full of knowledge, very dry humor & always told it like it was. He was my go to guy if I needed any advice regarding home or auto info. "Jack" of all trades. To Helma and family please accept sincere condolences from Karen & I along with Chris & Kelly. R.I.P. our friend.

The best times were when we would stop by on our way to Nova Scotia and when you came to Hamilton. Uncle Jack and Aunt Helma were so welcoming. My best memory of Uncle Jack was when Dorothy, Louise and I came back from the store and I had Doritos. He told me the only way he would let me eat them is if I could tell him what chemicals Doritos were made from. He said it’s bad enough eating chemicals but I need to know the damage to my body. He started laughing and gave me a hug and said he was teasing about knowing each chemical, but to remember there was zero nutrition. That’s the stuff I miss and love about him

Donna and I send our sincere condolences to the family. As a young family we were next door neighbors on Craig Street a few years ago, and always received wise advice from John. Could not have asked for better neighbors. Rest in eternal peace John.
