Obituary of Creighton Leroy Foster
It is with great sadness that the family of Creighton Leroy Foster, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully Monday 19 August 2024 at the age of 74 at the Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital.
Born in Woodstock, New Brunswick, Creighton grew up and was schooled in Oromocto. Creighton began his career by serving his country in the Royal Canadian Navy and transitioned to civilian life working at CFB Gagetown. Seeking a new path, Creighton enrolled in the study of Theology at Northeast Christian College where he earned his Diploma all while working as a Commissionaire. Following his work with the Congregation, he once again changed occupations and began work in Maintenance for York Manor. Creighton was a passionate painter, exceptional cook but was mostly known for his genuine compassion and kindness.
Creighton is lovingly remembered and survived by his wife Penny; daughter, Natasha Leavitt (Patrick) son, Tony Foster (Staci), daughter Myriah O'Quinn (Adam) as well as their mother, Jeanne Blanchard (Freeman), his step-sons, Shawne Henry (Katelyn) and Brad Henry (Katherine). Creighton, known as Papa, will be dearly missed by his special grandchildren, Isac and Jeremiah, Alexandria (Alexander), Maddisson (Jewels), Paisley, Maddox, Aiden, Alex, Kayla, Silas, and Taryn; his great-grandchildren, Lars and Oslo, his sister, Dianne Buchanan, sister-in-law, Michelle Fraser-Patterson (Peter) along with several special cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Creighton was predeceased by his parents, Lewis and Evelyn Foster (Belding), brothers, Larry, Richard, Dale, and Graham and sisters, Thea and Lorraine.
Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 11:00am-1:00 pm. The funeral service will take place immediately following visitation at 1:30 pm in the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Terry Messer officiating. Following the service there will be a reception in the funeral home with a private interment being held afterwards at the Burton Cemetery.
