Obituary of Michael Duncan Fleiger
It is with sadness that the family of Michael Duncan Fleiger announce his sudden passing in Pembroke, ON, on July 1, 2024.
He was the son of Michael Robert Fleiger and the late Susan Lynn Thompson.
Michael leaves behind his sisters, Peggy-Sue Fleiger (Michael), Angela Rowinski (Brad), Michelle McFawn (Jeremy); his cousin, April Gray, who was like a sister, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, Patricia and Arnold Fleiger, Donna Bridges, Jeffery Marr, and Wayne Thompson (Sharron).
Michael was born at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on July 6, 1984, and was raised in Waasis, NB. He was a very happy, loving and fun person. He was the life of the party.
Growing up he loved playing hockey, skateboarding, and beat boxing. He started working in his teenage years alongside his dad doing painting and crack filling, and continued working this trade in adulthood. He loved being with friends and family and was always up for a good time. He loved adventures and meeting new people.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at the Oromocto Funeral Home in Oromocto, NB, from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 6:00 – 8:00pm. A funeral will take place the following day on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Oromocto, NB, beginning at 10:00am. Following the service, Michael will be interred in the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery, and a reception will be held in the church hall. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association of New Brunswick, or a local addiction recovery charity of the donor’s choice.
