Obituary of Jeanette Norma London

It is with great sadness that the family of Jeanette Norma London announce her passing on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Orchard View Long Term Care. Born on April 19, 1946, she was the wife of the late Harold London.

Jeanette loved her family immensely and enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom. She loved to sew and took pride in the many Halloween costumes she created, more often than not securing first place for her children’s costumes at school competitions.

Jeanette also enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. All holidays were spent in the family home with her creating the meal for her children and grandchildren.

In Jeanette’s later years she worked as a health care provider to the elderly, something that gave her great joy. She was a kind and gentle soul with a heart of gold.

Jeanette will be missed by her children, Patty Picard (Eugene Knorr), Robert London, Andrew London (Tanya) and Jason London; seven grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Dawn Briggs, Sherry Derry and Cathy Embrett; brother-in-law, William London (Freida); as well as several extended family members. In addition to her husband, Harold, Jeanette was predeceased by her parents, Douglas and Joyce (Bishop) Briggs.

The family wishes to extend their thanks and appreciation to the doctors and staff of Orchard View LTC for care shown to Jeanette during her time there.

A funeral service will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Lori Beth Sheffield-Bowles officiating. A reception will take place at 3:00 pm at the Burton Lions Club. For those who wish, donations in Jeanette’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or Oromocto SPCA.
