Obituary of Ian Jerome Boone

It is with saddened hearts that the family of Ian Jerome Boone announce his passing on June 21, 2024, at Hospice Fredericton.   Born on May 23, 1953, he was the son of the late Alfred and Eunice (Wood) Boone.

Ian retired from the base in Gagetown in 2021.   He loved getting out and taking wildlife pictures and spending time at his camp.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Heather E.M. Boone (Carr); brothers, Duane Boone and Harlan Boone; sister, Lois Sode; special niece, Pamela Sue Hamilton (Carr); special friends and family as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Besides he parents he was predeceased by his sister, Madeline Parent. 

There will be no funeral or service held for Ian, at his request.  A celebration of his life will be at a later date for close family and friends.
