Obituary of Wendell Emerson Coy
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Wendell Emerson Coy announce his passing on June 11, 2024 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. He was born on June 25, 1939 in Coytown, NB, the son of the late Alonzo and late Edith (Chase) Coy.
Wendell will be sadly missed by his wife of 62 years, Janet (Calder) of Upper Gagetown; his children Philip (Patty), Wendy (late Rick Couturier), Andrew (Jeannie), Robbie and Ryan (Khristal); grandchildren Jessica, Tyler (Amanda), Jodi (Brett), Madison and Maria, and great-grandson Levi. He is also survived by his brother Donnie (Joan) as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Wendell was predeceased by his son-in-law Rick Couturier and brother Allie Coy.
Wendell loved to spend time outside hunting and fishing and was famous for his boat building. He enjoyed telling stories, jokes and teasing his grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Extra Mural for their services and the care they provided Wendell over the years.
As per Wendell’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. A Family burial will be at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Wendell’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lung Association or a charity of their choice.
