I am so very sorry to hear of Laughlin's passing. I still can see in my mind the funny directions for deliveries, e.g. fizzy-o. Laugh was a joy to know and work with - so full of vim, vigor and wit. May he rest in peace, and may the memories be a comfort to friends and family.

It’s not goodbye my friend, it’s, see you next time. Your entire life was lovingly wrapped around ‘Family ‘. Never one to be serious, you would draw folks to you with your kind heart and your ‘love for life’. The pipes are playing a haunting melody, somewhere in the hills of Scotland and that tune will reach the land of Ukraine, and your proud mother and father, will meet you and take you on home. Godspeed Lach, thanks for the memories ❤️

“A Grateful Thistle”
A Scottish heart, a love so pure,
A bond that time could not obscure,
My dear friend, a precious gift,
In gratitude, my soul I lift.
I appreciate the moments shared,
The laughter, joy, and tender care,
Their presence, a balm in troubled times,
My dear friend, forever mine.
Though they’re gone, their memory stays,
A guiding light, through darkest days,
My dear friend, I’ll hold so close,
A grateful thistle, love’s sweet prose.
-Scottish poem: Author Unknown
With heavy hearts we mourn the loss of our friend & colleague Lachlan. We all have so many memories of Lach, first being his infectious smile. Lach loved to make people smile, either with little treats, gifts or just his latest joke. The best part of that was when you were able to make Lach laugh back, he had the best laugh, that was rewarding and that is what we will remember all the good times.
Lachlan was a big supporter of causes that were close to his heart, especially the war in Ukraine. Lach was very proud of his heritage, his mother was Ukrainian, and his father was Scottish, he grew up in Perth and loved to chat about the old days around home. Many cherished stories were shared of his family and friends growing up and his new stories of his grandchildren. Michele and Lach both said some of their best adventures were when they just got in the car and drove not even knowing where their destination would be, they shared a lot of great times together. At work, being a “Habs” fan he loved to make hockey wagers, he was competitive, a huge music fan, he loved greeting people (old & new), he was witty and fun to chat with, many customers really looked forward to seeing Lach when he arrived with their deliveries.
We are sending our heartfelt condolences to Michele, his two sons, his brother, his sister, all their families and all his dear close friends. We would like to send a huge thank you to Fredericton Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for Lach and his family during his final days. In honour of Lach’s memory please tell your fondest Lach story and keep him top of mind as we get through these darkest days remembering him and all his wonderful qualities.
Sending support and love to all Lach’s loved ones from the gang at Scott’s Nursery.

Lach was my older cousin and I absolutely adored him growing up in Perth-Andover! We walked the streets together, played hockey on the outdoor rinks and searched every hidden space in our Grandmother's huge house along main street! As the years rolled along, life got in the way and our reunions were less. But whenever we met, oh the stories we would tell laughing together!
At the Gathering of the Scots Festival in Perth-Andover last weekend, our Clan raised a glass to our fall Brother and remembered.
All of the Macs here up here along the river will sincerely miss you . . .

Lach was an amazing human being. I met Lach when I started working at Scott's in 2018 and his infectious personality and constant optimism immediately drew me to him as it did for many others who got to meet him. The way Lach lived life made me look up to him so much and I will always try to emulate the way he treated people.

So sorry Cameron and Jessie on the loss of Lach. I have great memories of Deer Island trips and the famous trip where he stepped on a sea urchin. May years after that Deer Island trip I was glad I got to work with him when I started at the DECH. He will be fondly remembered. Thinking of all of you during this difficult time. xo
