Obituary of Sandra Jean White

It is with heavy hearts the family of Sandra (Sandy) Jean White announce her passing on May 29, 2024, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born on March 18, 1957 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Dorothy (McLaughlin) Misener.

Surviving are her daughter, Naomi White (Justin Szmadyla); son, Matthew White; grandchildren Isaiah White, Katherine Szmadyla and Lauren Szmadyla; husband, Garfield White; Aunt, Joan Misener; and dearest friend, Shelly (Daniels) Fifield. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Gary Misener.

Sandy lived in New Brunswick the last many years of her life, but her true home was Nova Scotia and she always kept this in her heart. She loved camping, gardening and being outdoors, especially anywhere by the ocean. She loved her many pets over the years, especially her cat AJ. She was a hard worker and gave generously of her time and energy. She was very close to her children and grandchildren and cared deeply for her family and close friends.

Her favorite night of the year was Christmas Eve when she felt closest to her family and friends both alive and gone. For those of you who knew and loved her, I hope you will join my family and I each Christmas Eve, wherever you are, for a moment to remember her and honour her spirit.
