Obituary of Helen Augusta (McIntyre) O'Donnell

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Helen Augusta (McIntyre) O’Donnell announce her passing at the Fredericton Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on May 17, 2024. Born in Elm Hill, New Brunswick on January 20, 1934, she is the daughter of the late Hatfield and Geneva McIntyre.

Helen will be sadly missed by her children, LeRoy, Denine and Richard (Kayla); grandchildren Alana (Shawn), Aaron, Danica (Kerwin) and Geneva; and 12 great grandchildren. Helen is also survived by two brothers Reginald and Edward; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Helen is predeceased by her husband, Ford; both her parents; her sister, Lydia; brothers, Leslie, Beverly and Francis; niece, Rachael; and 2 children, Margo and Janet.

Helen took pleasure in gardening, cooking, reading the bible, and took great pride in her home. Her door was also open to those in need.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Orchard View Long Term Care Home who cared for Helen during her time there. 

Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago St,  on Saturday May 25 at 2:00 followed by the funeral service at 3:00 with a reception to follow. Burial will be at a later date.

Gone from our sight but never from our memories, may her soul bask in eternal peace and joy.
