Obituary of Mary Lee Rose Joyce

The family of Mary Lee Rose (Masters) Joyce, 79, of Cambridge-Narrows, New Brunswick, sadly announces she passed away on November 5, 2023. Mary Lee had moderate dementia, also a cancerous spot on her lung which disappeared after treatments in 2021. Recently, she developed heavy breathing issues, using oxygen and passed away suddenly with critical respiratory/heart failure, at Enhanced Living Gagetown Special Care Home.

Mary Lee was born on February 24, 1944, to William and Muriel (Ryman) Masters, in Toronto, ON. Mary Lee worked as a bookkeeper in Ontario, in her ex-husband's business until he passed away. After moving to New Brunswick, she worked briefly at K&W Meats, Village of Gagetown and a call center in Oromocto.

In 2001, Mary Lee met Bradley Joyce, and they wed in 2003. Her son Jeffery resided in Berwick, NB, so Mary Lee and Bradley moved to Cambridge-Narrows, NB, in 2003. She had two sons from her previous marriage, Jeffery and Timothy Cannon, also two brothers and a sister.

Mary Lee’s special interests included bookkeeping, computers, and baking. She adored her pets Muffin, Gizzy, Suzy, who have all passed away and her beloved Yorkie, Brooklyn.

Mary Lee is lovingly remembered by her husband, Bradley; and her brother Dennis-Helie-Masters, residing in Huntsville, ON. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Gladys Harrison, brother Steve Masters, and her sons Jeffery and Timothy Cannon.

Also, very special gratitude to PSW’s, Nicole, Tracy, Patsy, Rachel, Lorena, Lois, Maggie and Courtney; plus, all  of the loving staff at Enhanced Living Special Care Home, Village of Gagetown, who gratefully participated in her special care.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Oromocto Funeral Home. In keeping with Mary Lee’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Alzheimer Society of Canada, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
