Obituary of Catherine Arlene Foote

It is with sadness that the family of Catherine “Kay” Foote (Jeddore) announces her passing at Hospice Fredericton on Thursday, August 31, 2023, surrounded by her family. Kay was born in Deer Lake, NL, on November 21, 1955, and was the wife of Norman Foote of Oromocto.

In addition to her husband, Norm, Kay leaves behind her children, Cathy Foote and James Foote (Shauna); grandchildren, Lindsay Foote and William Caissie; brother, Jeffery Jeddore; sisters, Jean Leonard (Anthony), Lillian Finlay, Clarice Coish (Jesse), Dallace LeRoux (Jerry), Vivian Gosse (Dawson), Patricia Finnegan, and Denise Hynes (Darryll); parents-in-law, Eli Cyril and Marion (White) Foote; and many relatives and friends. Kay was predeceased by her parents, Stephen Sr. and Delilah (Legge) Jeddore; brother, Stephen Jeddore; brothers-in-law, Gerald Finlay and Paul Finnegan.

Kay will be remembered for her heart of gold. She would help anyone who needed it and would have given the shirt off her back for you. Family was very important to her. She loved having a house full of family and close friends.

Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Sunday, September 3, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Mary’s Chapel, Base Gagetown, on Monday, September 4, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Fr. Shawn Daley will be celebrant.
