Leonard and Agnes were the best neighbours. Wilf has lived beside them for 37 years and I've lived beside them for 33 years. Wilf and Leonard were inseparable. They went hunting together, fishing together and walked all the streets in Oromocto together picking up recyclables. The fence between our backyards was taken down when it needed repairs. That's the best neighbours to have. You both will be greatly missed. Rest easy, you will never be forgotten. Much love, Wilf & Sandy Waite

Hugs to all. I work at the Oromocto super store. They where in almost every day. Very friendly couple. My fondest and most memorable memory is when Leonard came in one day with a thermometer and ask me if I could help him figure it out, he said it was his 3rd one and he ruined many fish fries because he couldn't figure it out, with that being said I looked at his thermometer and peeled the thin sheet of plastic of the front and the look on his face was priceless. I will miss them come in or seeing him walking with his long stick. RIP.

Both my husband and I worked with Agnes at the Homestead Restaurant on base. She actually trained me and was always there to help.

Dear family of Leonard and Agnes
I am a first cousin to Agnes and have not seen or heard from her in years as I moved across the country to BC back in 1967. I have been in touch with her sister Jean and my sister Marcella in Bathurst who kept me up dated. I fondly recall having Agnes organize a "girl's" club in our wood shed when we were young teenagers, where we sang "Oh Canada" at the opening of the meetings and "God save the Queen" at the end of the meetings. No memories of what we discussed,...... but she was a great leader and we enjoyed having these meetings. So long ago......
My deepest sympathy to the children and grandchildren, so sad losing both parent. May they rest in peace. Hugs, Leona Doucet (Roy)

Sending my sincere love and condolences to Agnes, Pam, Rosey and Len. Leonard was my father-in-law and filled a large part of my life for some 45 years. He was my sounding board when it came to my military career and I was lucky to share in his passion for hunting, fishing and family camping, including an occasional cold-one. I will miss him so much, especially the numerous stories he would regal us with about "all things life", and the good times we had during family gatherings. He always impressed me and others with his talent to fix, create, or improvise on the go and later in life to paint artistically. Our most recent visit to Oromocto with our daughter Chantal, husband Tielo and granddaughter Rayna along with Agnes, Rosey and Len will be forever remembered. The guns are now silent, time to rest in peace Leonard.
