I distinctly remember his passion for the history and heritage of the Canadian Military Engineers during the many museum tours he provided to my students while I was an instructor at CFSME. Anne, Julien and Sebastien; Deepest condolences from both Craig and I. I have loved working with Jean so much. he has been such a fixture in the Museum and such a great pleasure to work with. He added such a dynamic and welcoming presence to the office and to the gallery. Whenever I talk about the Museum with former visitors, they always mention his tours and how much fun and how informative he was. While I know Jean best as a colleague, it is in our conversations about family that really showed how much he loved you all and how proud is is about what you have done and accomplished. I will miss Jean so much that I can't imagine how you feel; he made such an impact on everyone he worked with. Sandra and Craig Penney

My condolences to the family and to all the Sappers across the country. I remember him giving my daughter and I a personal guided tour of the museum during a take you kid to work day. He even opened up the armoury for us. We will remember. Chimo. Till Valhalla brother.

My dear friend Jean, I remember it like it was yesterday when we met for the first time in Valcartier Qc. I was your young Private and you were my respected Master Corporal… I learned a lot from you, my friend! Already 28 yrs has passed since our friendship began and it was not that long ago before you were really getting ill, that we were still playing our weekly Canasta games with Anne and Sonia; oh, how I will miss those nights!
