Obituary of David Brian Bateman

The family of David Brian Bateman, 63, of Burton, New Brunswick, sadly announces he passed away on March 1st, 2023, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

David was born on November 10th, 1959, to Walter and Thora (Bjarason) Bateman, in Germany. Over his lifetime, he lived in many different places, and worked at many different professions.

He loved to play guitar, to cook and to hang out with his family and friends, and was always ready for a good time.

David is predeceased by his father and mother, Sonny and Thora Bateman; significant other, Laura, and his niece, Tanya Bateman. David leaves behind his son, Chris Lee; daughter, Jessica Burns; two grandchildren, Jacob and Hannah; siblings, Jeanette and Scott, Ken, Ron and Peggy, Susan and Robert; many nieces and nephews, and his best friend Mike McInnis.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 5th, 2023, from 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm at the Oromocto Funeral Home in Oromocto, New Brunswick. He will be laid to rest with his parents at the Burton Cemetery, at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
