I wish to extend my condolences to the extended Colbourne family. I had the great privilege of meeting and serving with Master Corporal Colbourne in the 2nd Battalion The Royal Canadian Regiment in the late 1980s. He was a font of experience and wise guidance for a then very inexperienced junior officer. I have very fond memories of the period that I spent in contact with him and as my time in uniform draws to an end I hope that I have had a portion of the positive impact that he had upon those with whom he soldiered. To Roy’s Family, very sorry for Roy’s passing. I knew Roy since he used to do Deliveries at Lees Garden Restaurant and I was just at Roy’s house before X-Mass to do a Plumbing repair. I am glad I met Roy and his grandson at that time. Roy was always a kind and gentle person, a true Newfoundlander and Maritimer. Roy you will be missed by all who new you, Rest In Peace friend. Condolences to the Colborne family.Roy was a kind,loving uncle who we have many special memories of.His care for Aunt Joan and his love for his family showed his big heart.Mom and Dad loved their visits and trips they shared,.from family get togethers,,driving around the province visiting all the communities or just playing a game of cards they always had a good time.Roy was loved and will be missed...Rest in Peace Roy.....Kim ,Karen,Tamara and families.Thinking of you and sending Love.You have another angel to watch over you...May your memories of the love you shared always keep him close..Take Care!
