Time slipped by it seem so fast
As our own years began to add up
Though our minds still clearly saw
Events that are like just yesterday
Happy or Tragic it mattered not
We kept fresh over a coffee
Those moments in time
Now so many more words I wish I could say
Each night lately shed a silent tear,
As I speak to you and your family in prayer.
To let you know much you were respected,
And just how much we all cared.
Take our million teardrops,
Wrap them up together
Ask the wind to carry them,
To you in heaven above.
You were my trainer, my boss, my friend
My big brother in the end,
RIP Ian until we meet again.
