Obituary of Allan James MacDonald

Allan James MacDonald passed away in his sleep on February 2, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, on April 1, 1937, he was the son to the late Charles J. MacDonald and Catherine Ann (MacNeil) MacDonald. Allan, dear husband of predeceased Helga (Ewert). Dear father of David and his wife Tina, Paul, Bruce and John. Loving grandfather of Nicole, Jordan, Bradley, and Amelia and Great-grandfather of Calem and Ember. Allan will be missed by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, friends and family. As per his wishes, there will be no service but a celebration of his life in the spring, on the one year anniversary of his loving wife Helga’s celebration of life. For those who wish, donations in Allan’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
