Obituary of Barbara May Foster
It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara May (Hatt) Foster announces her sudden passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Tuesday, September 6th, 2022, at the age of 93. Born in Back Bay, NB, on November 18th, 1928, she was the wife of the late Rev. Robert Foster.
In addition to her husband, Robert, Barbara was predeceased by her daughter, Janice Foster; twin sister, Madonna Stewart; sister, Joyce French, and parents Chester and Georgia (Cooke) Hatt.
Barbara leaves behind her 3 remaining children, Winona Foster, Jerry Foster (Wanda) and Stephen Foster; granddaughters, Erica Foster (Shane Bungay), Breanan Foster-Goodine (Russell), Emma Foster, and Courtney Foster; brother, Reid Hatt (Shirley); several nieces and nephews; and extended family, Sally Kennedy and her boys.
Barbara was a faithful minister’s wife for 60 years, assisting her husband Rev. Robert Foster. Mom would always be found at Dad’s side as they carried out their ministry. After Dad passed, Mom still attended faithfully at the Geary United Pentecostal Church. She played the piano for many years; the last time would have been July 10th on a Sunday morning at the church.
Mom was always there for her children, grandchildren and extended family. She will always be remembered for looking after others first, and being a faithful Christian. Rest in peace now Mom/Nannie, we will always love you and cherish the time we had. Now you can join Dad, Janice and all the other family that have gone on to their reward.
God gives us everything, wisdom, strength and love, He also gave us you Mom.
