Obituary of Mary Margaret Poirier

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Margaret Poirier announces her passing at Orchard View Long Term Care in Gagetown, NB on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the age of 93. She passed away peacefully with her family at her side. Born in L’Ardoise, NS, on August 8, 1928, she was the wife of Peter Poirier, formerly of Burton, NB. In addition to her beloved husband of 65 years, Peter, Mary leaves behind her sons, Raymond Poirier (Barbel) of Ottawa, ON, and Francis Poirier (Lynda) of Shelburne, ON, and daughter-in-law Marlene Poirier of Chilliwack, BC; grandchildren, Amanda, Joseph Jr., Emily, Justin, John, Nick, and Lisa; several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Elias and Tina (Grant) LeRue; son, Joseph Poirier, grandson, Tony Dunn; brothers, Samuel, Herbie, Lester, Rainy, and Gordon LeRue; and sister, Rose Sampson. There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 12:00 pm with Fr. Charles Udeh as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in Mary’s memory can be made to the SPCA. Forever loved and always remembered Rest In Peace
