Obituary of Geraldine Harrison

It is with great sadness that the family of Phyllis Geraldine (Webb) Harrison announces her passing at the home of her daughter on June 23, 2022. Born in New Jerusalem, NB, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Colwell) Webb, and beloved wife of the late Kenneth Archibald Harrison. In 1953 Geraldine left her beloved home and moved with the family to Gagetown. Before Geraldine’s retirement, she was a beloved school bus driver. She worked as a school bus driver for many years, driving and caring for the children in her area, and enjoying every day of it. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Debbie de Monye (Casey), Brenda Bordage (Mark) and Donna Thomas (Brad); grandchildren Alex, Nick and Amy de Monye (Spencer), Stephen (Jess), Corey and Ashley Bordage, Emily Scott (David) and Katie Ouellette (Corey); chosen granddaughter Crystal; great grandchildren Scarlett and Sawyer; sister Irene Bryant; sisters-in-law Edith Webb, Verna Webb and Shirley Douglas; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Geraldine was predeceased by her brothers Charles Ballard and Earl Webb, as well as her brothers and sisters-in-law. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 at the Oromocto Funeral Home from 6 – 8 pm. A memorial service will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 2 pm, with Rev. Jane Johnson officiating, Rev. Bob Johnson assisting and special music provided by Rev. Bob and Allison Inch. A family interment will follow in the Upper Hampstead Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in Geraldine’s memory may be made to the Upper Hampstead Cemetery Fund, Fredericton Extra Mural Program or a charity of the donor’s choice.
