Obituary of David Norbert LaViolette

It is with heavy hearts that the family of David Norbert LaViolette announces his passing on October 15, 2025, at Medley Hall in Fredericton, NB. Born on September 22, 1949, in Oromocto, NB, he was the son of Eleanor (Goudreau) and the late Norbert LaViolette.

David proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 25 years before retiring. Following his military career, he continued to serve his community with dedication as a member of the Commissionaires for more than 12 years.

David enjoyed square dancing and bowling in his early years. Over the past few years, he took up his hobby of knitting, which brought him much enjoyment and relaxation.

Besides his mother, David is survived by his son, Mark LaViolette (Penni), of Fredericton; his brother, Daryl LaViolette (Stephanie), of Woodstock; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

David was predeceased by his loving wife, Patricia (Estabrooks) LaViolette.

Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Oromocto United Baptist Church on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with Rev.
